Spoiler Spiderman Far From Home Review

I recently went to see Spiderman Far From Home in the cinema and I’m here to sum up my thoughts on the film. My overall impression on the film is that I found it very fun and interesting and I can go as far as to say that it was better than Homecoming which I will discuss more in-depth later in this review.

The story was very good and one of the parts that made me enjoy the plot of the film was how it had ways of testing Peter Parker and showing a more deeper side to the character through the emotion that he went through with Endgame and the burden of weather to take the place of Tony Stark and weather he can take on that task. You get to see the character in a lot more depth then you did in Homecoming making the audience way more connected to the character.

After the end credit scene, I was very excited to see where they would take the character and how they are going to expand on his story in the next film which already built up hype. It left me with many questions. It very much made me think about Marvel planning on building a bigger storyline for Peter. I’m very excited on seeing what direction they plan on taking the characters.

When it comes to MJ I feel like this film did a very good job on expanding her as a love interest since in Homecoming you didn’t really see or get to know much about her but in this film I enjoyed her as a character since she was very different from a lot of love interests you usually see in superhero films by her being a lot more awkward but also smarter. An example of this is a scene where Peter and MJ are talking on a bridge and she mentions how she stalked him and found clues that he was Spiderman. Most heroines in these superhero films usually don’t find this out on their own accord but the fact that MJ was able to find this out shows that she was a smart character. Here’s one worry I had about her was if she’d end up being overpowered. By that I’d say no because the character has weaknesses and has a good balance between being relatable and not being annoying.

Let’s talk about the romance between Peter Parker and MJ. I love how it’s able to put a twist on the romance by making it more realistic which makes the relationship in the film a lot more believable and more enjoyable. They can use the romance to give the audience a break from the action and it makes the film feel more spaced out and well-paced. The romance added a lot more to MJ’s character by showing more of her personality and how she acts with Peter.

With the special effects it was very well done especially with the scenes where the villain is trying to tease peter it felt trippy to the point where I found myself being confused separating what were the illusions and the reality. There were times when watching this film where the effects really surprised me on how well it was done with lots of detail being put into those effects, so I give lots of credit to the people who worked on that.

In conclusion I would rate the film a must watch since I feel like its one of the best Spiderman films released. I’d say it’s better than Homecoming due to many characters having more in-depth character development which makes you feel more emotion towards the characters. The story of Far From Home keeps you a lot more engaged then the story of Homecoming. I found the film very enjoyable and I will be likely to re-watch it.

Thank you for reading my first review on my website. I’m not sure what I’ll be reviewing next but look out for more of my works and reviews in the future.
